The Ultimate PC-Correlator - for true professionals

The AQUASCAN 7000 is much more than just a correlator
It is a leak positioning system. It combines high performance correlation with GPS, GIS and many other features of the state-of-the-art information technology.

GPS assisted site identification
The AQUASCAN 7000 has a built-in GPS (Global Positioning System). After its activation the GIS map section showing the pipe under investigation will appear on screen.

Built-in GIS of pipe network
The AQUASCAN 7000 incorporates smartGIS, a digital database of your pipe network with all relevant information and mapping of your water distribution system. By simply clicking on the position of the sensors on the map, the correct distance between both sensors as well as the sound velocity will automatically be used for correlation. No need to measure the distance with a measuring wheel, and no need to enter the material and diameter of the pipe under investigation.

Easier location of leaks on PVC and MDPE or large diameters pipes
Special efforts have been made to enable the detection of difficult leaks, which produce little noise in the low frequency range - especially on PVC and MDPE or large diameter pipes.

Highly sophisticated FFT and coherence analysis
The highly sophisticated leak noise analysis offers both an FFT analysis of each sensor and a coherence analysis showing the noise frequencies which are common to both sensors. This allows filtering out all disturbing ambient noises. Moreover, for the first time the user can define at will whatever number of frequency bands of any size to be shown and analyzed on screen.

Peak suppression eliminates non-leak sources
Conventional correlators fail when consumption by one or several users (i.e. industrial) disturbs the measurement. The AQUASCAN 7000 allows suppression of any pipe section or unwanted peak caused by non-leak sources.

Automatic calculation of sound velocity
The AQUASCAN 7000 selects the respective sound velocity according to material and diameter and offers automatic computation of the real sound velocity when material or diameter is unknown.

Digital pictures to enhance documentation
The AQUASCAN 7000 is the first correlator with built-in facility to connect a digital camera, allowing the user to document his report with pictures.

Spoken comments instead of typing reports
Yet another innovative feature is the built-in facility to connect a microphone and to memorize a spoken comment instead of typing a text.

Hand-held scanner to scan a map or sketch of the site
If GIS data are not available, or if a manual drawing of the leak situation is required, a hand-held scanner can be connected and the additional information integrated into the report.

Comprehensive report and immediate print-out
A comprehensive report of the leak detection, including graphics and illustration of all analysis, on-screen digital drawing, scanned material and digital pictures can be printed out on site on a portable printer for immediate use by the repair crew or the client.

Integration of leak data in the GIS data base
The smartGIS software even offers integration of the leak data into the GIS database. This allows systematic historic analysis of the pipe network, for a pipe renewal policy for example.

Truly "tough-condition-proof"
The AQUASCAN 7000 is a laptop-driven correlator. As most laptops are not suitable for rough field conditions, the instrument is delivered with a proven high quality toughbook, which is waterproof, shockproof, vibrationproof, dustproof and the extra bright display is suitable for sunlight.
